Colombia and India are two countries that have some similarities and differences. First, they are similar in power distance, because both have high scores in this index, this means that in both cultures the society are not equal, we can see a hierarchy in the structure of society, one example to describe this is in Colombia a person who is the manager of a company in general don’t talk with the employees, and the employees have a lot of respect to their bosses, something similar happens in India, there people respect the hierarchy. Secondly, other similarity in both cultures is that both countries have high levels in masculinity vs femininity index, this means that both countries are masculinity, both cultures are competitive and like the money and power; a way to ilustrate this is here in Colombia people prepare to have a good job and earn a lot of money and in India they have a similar concept. Finally, they are very different in indulgence, this index is how people control their desires and impulses. Colombia has a high score and India a low score, this means that Colombian people likes to enjoy life and having fun and Indian people have a tendency to cynicism and pessimism, for instance, people in India are close to express their desires. In conclusion, both cultures have a lot of things in common and other that are different.
